From the year 2000 Belrobotics started to market robotic lawnmowers particularly suitable for larger terrain, such as privately owned grounds; sports fields and golf courses; industrial land and maintenance of public green spaces.
One cannot dream of anything more simple: once the robotic mower is installed and programmed, it begins mowing independently. When it feels the need to recharge its batteries, it automatically returns to the charging station.
Belrobotics' ingenuity has been awarded with the 'Gold Medal of Innovation' by the GalaBau of Nuremburg (2006) and also the 'Belgian Environment & Energy Award' (2008).
History
The idea of the robotic lawnmowers, as we know them today, originated in the mind
of a Belgian engineer in the late 80's. After years of research and development, the
first Bigmow appeared in 2002.
